Billy Mira’s rise to stardom surprisingly began not with performing as a singer, but with his love for theater and acting. He joined many local productions in school, with chorus being a side hobby. As his gift of voice became more apparent, he started forming bands with his friends in the typical “garage band” fashion, until the early 90s, when he became front man for Whiskey Road, showcasing his range and power of vocals as a rock singer. His portfolio of work reaches every genre of music, whether it’s music from the 50s and 60s, to heavy rock, to dance and disco, he can cater to any audience.
Billy’s career was catapulted in a comedic trajectory when he performed as an Impressionist/Comedian on The Howard Stern Show from 2002 – 2008. He was discovered by Stern’s show producer, Sal Governale, and the pair continue to have a close working and personal relationship to-date. Working with Howard opened new doors for Billy, touring as a comedic personality and appearing on national TV and radio shows. Some would say he was one of the “most un-famous famous person in the world” because people knew his voices but didn’t recognize his face when in public.
In 2010, Billy started appearing on a Sirius Satellite radio show covering the growing sport of MMA whose popularity was rising quickly around the world. From there, he developed a show that would lead him to Las Vegas, working on Fox Sports Radio and Fox 5 TV from 2011 to 2013. This fateful journey to Vegas enabled Billy to have a vision to develop a show unlike any other you’ve seen, where he combines his incredible vocals with his hilarious comedic impressions. Out of this endeavor has come “Billy Mira & The Hitmen,” which is a Vegas-meets-Broadway type of show where he combines song, dance, and music into one smash hit. Recently, he and Howard Stern show personalities, Sal Governale and Richard Christy, have embarked on a national tour with this act, leaving the audience in awe of their musical performances while roaring with laughter with their comedic acts.
Billy’s love of performing also takes him to lounges, high-end corporate events, theaters, and even outdoor arenas. No venue is too big or too small, he can put on a show for any crowd!
